March 9, 2014: Part 2
Pastor Ben continues our Lent series by looking into the Baptism of John the Baptist and what it meant, and should mean, for us. John didn't baptize the people only as a sign of cleansing. John preached repentance through baptism. Turning away from the sinful path that we are walking down and doing a full turn around to walk toward God. But turning isn't enough... bridging the gap between God and mankind is only something that Jesus could do on the Cross.
March 2, 2014:  Part 1
Have you ever been lost? Have you ever lost a child? Recall the fear that gripped you when you realized that you or your child were lost. How would Joseph and Mary felt when they realized that Jesus wasn't with them in their caravan. Listen as Pastor Ben starts to explore the life of Jesus and who He truly was.

February 2, 2014: Part 1
Today Pastor Ben explores the story of Zacchaeus. Zacchaeus was a tax collector during the time that Rome occupied Israel. He would have been despised as a sinner and a traitor to his people. How did Jesus treat this man when their paths crossed? How should we see those around us that others may have written off?
March 16, 2014: Part 3
Pastor Ben continues our Lent series by looking at the Temptation of Jesus as seen in Luke 4. Here we see that Jesus, while being God, was still a man and subject to temptation. Let's see how Jesus could resist the temptation and how we can apply those lessons to our own lives.
March 30, 2014:  Part 5
As we work our way toward Easter Pastor Ben explores a passage that finds Jesus being accused of blasphemy. Listen as Jesus establishes His divine authority as the Son of Man over not only sickness, but sin as well.

March 23, 2014:  Part 4
Sometimes it can be hard to go back to your hometown. People remember who you were and don't always see who you are now. Let's see what happened when Jesus returned home as the Anointed One of God. We'll see how it was hard for his hometown to accept who He truly was.

April 6, 2014:  Part 6
Who is Jesus? We continue asking that question today as Pastor Ben explains the Jesus is the friend of sinners. How many of us feel that we need to clean ourselves up before coming to Jesus? How many people do we make feel that way? The truth is that Jesus calls us just as we are... because he is the friend of sinners.

February 9, 2014: Part 2
What's the difference between a King and a Steward? Can someone be both? Sometimes stewardship is frowned upon when a Pastor brings up the topic. But listen as Pastor Ben explores how King Hezekiah properly stewarded the wealth he had been given and the nation the Lord allowed him to lead, and how stewardship is more than just what we do with our money.
February 16, 2014:  Part 3
As Pastor Ben wraps up our series he looks at three aspects of Stewardship. How we steward our Time, our Talents and our Treasure. He'll look at what Jesus said about those who gave out of their excess for show and what he said about the poor widow, who gave the most of all.

When Jesus entered Jerusalem on the back of a donkey he was greeted as the coming King of Israel by the people. But they misunderstood that His mission wasn't the mission that they had envisioned. Explore with us today another look into who Jesus is...

Celebrity Factor:
April 27-May 25
Join us each Sunday for our next series.
April 27, 2014: Part 1
Why do we look up to celebrities the way we do? Some people practically worship someone who can sing or act really well? Some fawn over politicians. What is there in the human heart that causes this? Join us as Pastor Ben asks this question and explores a lasting answer.
RedArrow Ministries is located in Paw Paw, MI.  Our church is a member of the Christian Reformed Church of North America.
May 4, 2014 : Part 2
We've all seen the celebrities that are larger than life. They bring a presence to the screen and grab all of the attention when they walk into a room. They are people that we look up to and admire. But we miss the mark when we let ourselves be wooed by charisma. Let's listen as Pastor Ben explores the "big entrance" of Israel's first celebrity king.
May 11, 2014: Part 3
You've seen it... the rich and/or famous that seem to think their status means they can do what they want, when they want, and how they want. It's not a new phenomenon. Today Pastor Ben looks at an episode in Israel's history where the king thought that he could do things his way and it cost him everything.
May 18, 2014: Part 4
Last week we saw how King Saul thought that he could do things his way and still please the Lord. This week we see how the Celebrity Factor has completely overtaken Saul and how he has turned away from the Lord even further. Join us as Pastor Ben explores a difficult passage on the choices of King Saul.
May 25, 2014: Part 5
In the final part of our Celebrity Factor series we see what God looks for when He decides to choose a leader for His people Israel. We see how, even when the Celebrity Factor affects our judgment, our desires don't derail God's plans. He even uses our misguided motives to further His plan for our lives and our world.

Poured Out
June 15 - August 3
Join us each Sunday for our next series.
June 15, 2014: Part 1
Join us as we start a new sermon series, "Poured Out." Pastor Ben starts this summer series by exploring Paul's letter to the Philippians. We see that this church didn't just accept Paul's message with joy, they poured out their lives for the Kingdom of God. God is calling you to pour out your life for Him into your community, as an offering to Him.
June 22, 2014: Part 2
Listen as Pastor Ben explores prayer as expressed by Paul to the Philippians. What role does prayer play in your life? What role should it play?
June 29, 2014: Part 3
Today Pastor Ben continues to explore Paul's letter to the Philippians. Today we find out the Paul was in chains while writing this letter. He was a captive for preaching the Gospel of Christ. But even in these circumstances we see that God uses every circumstance to further the spread of His kingdom.
July 6, 2104: Part 4
As we continue to look at what it means to 'pour out' your life as an offering to God, what is the best example we can look to? Join us as Pastor Ben explores the example that Paul gives to us in Philippians. No better example can exist than that of Jesus pouring out his life to save us and bring glory to God the Father.
July 13, 2014: Part 5
We continue our Poured Out series from Paul's letter to the Philippians by looing at the journey that Epaphroditus took to reach Paul in Rome. The weight that he carried to bring the Church's love and support shows how he poured out his life for God.
July 20, 2014: Part 6
We continue our Poured Out series in Philippians by looking at counterfeits. Paul explores a type of 'counterfeit' faith that he once practiced. But explains that everything he worked for, all of his achievements were worthless. What is the counterfeit? How do we find true faith? Listen as Pastor Ben explores this passage.
July 27, 2014: Part 7
Listen as Pastor Ben continues our series in Philippians by looking at our citizenship in heaven and what that should mean as we pour out our lives daily.
August 3, 2014: Part 8
Listen as Pastor Ben wraps our summer series. Today we finish the letter to the Philippians and we see Paul give the church the secret to peace in this life. Are you content in your life? Do you have peace in your life? Listen as we hear Paul tell us how we can all have the peace of Christ

August 24, 2014
Today Pastor Ben takes us through a parable in Matthew that has been controversial for many. The gracious landowner who hired day laborers throughout the day but paid those who worked all day and those who worked for only an hour the same wage. Is it fair? Is it right? Who gets to make that decision? Listen in as Pastor Ben shares with us an illustration of God's Sovereign Grace with a kingdom perspective on this parable.
August 31, 2014
This week our Drama-Rama kids perform a skit written by Sandy Erb titled "The Loading Dock." Afterward Pastor Ben brings us a brief word from the book of Matthew.

Bad Luck Joe
September 14-November 23
Join us each Sunday for our next series.
September 14: Part 1
Have you ever known someone who just couldn't seem to catch a break. Every time you see them more "bad luck" has come their way. Maybe their youth was full of promise but life just hasn't turned out the way they expected. Meet a guy named Joe... or, Joseph. He had a bright future, he dreamed dreams of ruling over his older brothers, then things took an unforeseen turn. Listen as Pastor Ben introduces our new series, bad luck Joe, and explains that luck really isn't to blame for life's twists and turns.
September 21: Part 2
Bad Luck Joe continues to have misfortunes. Today we hear how Joseph was sold into slavery by his own brothers! Imagine how you might feel in the middle of this circumstance where we see examples of both hatred and deception from one side, and honor and integrity from the other.
September 28: Part 3
As Pastor Ben continues his exploration of this series of unfortunate events, we find Joseph in slavery in Egypt. Even while being a slave the Lord blessed him and he prospered in his master's house. But even here temptations and trials find our young Hebrew and we see how he keeps his integrity even when the consequences will bring him more bad luck.
October 5: Part 4
Joe's Bad Luck continues even in prison. Even when God is still with him, granting him the wisdom to interpret dreams, and possibly a path out of prison. We see that his "bad luck" continues. Is this how you feel sometimes? No matter what you try things just don't improve? We see today that even in these circumstances God was still with Joseph and had a plan for his life, just as He has a plan for yours.
October 12: Part 5
Today we see that all of the "bad luck" that Joe suffered in his life leads to a dramatic change of circumstances. Listen as we hear what happens when the Pharaoh has a dream that stumps all of his wise men.
October 19: Part 6
Today we see that God's plan has led somewhere. Joseph is in charge of all of Egypt, second only to the Pharaoh himself. His circumstances and his outward identity have changed, but his heart to follow where God has led remains steadfast. Listen as Pastor Ben shares with us how God used Joseph to save not only a nation, but the world.
October 26: Part 7
We've seen Joseph go through trials and rise dramatically. But through it all Joseph still remembers his family. Still remembers how his brothers betrayed him and sold him into slavery. Still has those broken relationships in his heart. Today we see what happens when Joseph comes face to face with the brothers who betrayed him, and Pastor Ben shows how brokenness can be healed through the power of Jesus Christ.
November 2: Part 8
The famine continues and Joe's brothers are running out of food. They must return to Egypt to face Joseph again. Are their hearts as frozen as they were the day they sold him into slavery? Will he see that their hearts have softened? What does it take to thaw a frozen heart?
November 9: Part 9
As we near the end of our series on Bad Luck Joe we find Joseph's brothers returning home after their second trip to Egypt. Little do they know that Joseph has prepared a final exam for them to see if their hearts have truly changed. Listen as Pastor Ben explores the brothers' third appearance before Joseph.
November 16: Part 10
Today we reach the climax of Bad Luck Joe's story. He finally tells his brothers who he really is! Listen as Pastor Ben shows us how Joseph didn't respond with anger and recrimination, but with love and forgiveness. He even explains to his brothers how God used all of the events of his life to save them and many, many others.
November 23: Part 11
Joseph's reunion is over and his family has made the long journey to Egypt. Now his father Jacob has a last word for each of his sons before he dies. Today Pastor Ben explores Jacob's blessings and how they relate to their coming Messiah. Let us thank God for his faithfulness to all generations through our Savior as we prepare to enter the Advent season.
